CommScope's small cell is hirig Senior Systems Engineer - Platform, Networking & Security . This is US based fully remote role
How You'll Help Us Connect The World:
Plans and designs software systems or enhancements or applications in our ONECELL (5G) platform and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.
As a Senior Systems Engineer , you will be instrumental in designing our product platform and the networking for our product to ensure that the product is fully aligned to well-known security standards. You will be focused on defining system requirements, working with our engineering development to influence the design of the system and collaborate with Quality Assurance to help verify the requirements for our 5G products. This role provides the opportunity to transform our current and upcoming products, and we will encourage you to apply any applicable groundbreaking technology in the product architecture and design. You will also work closely with customers (CSPs, enterprise, etc.) to understand their business needs and translate them into products/solutions.
Define scalable and extensible architecture, system, and feature requirements for all our Small Cell products.
Work with internal stakeholders and Customers to define winning portfolio and roadmap.
Represent CommScope's interests in standard bodies/forums.
Coming up with High level design documentations and API interface description
The position may require some software development (Proof of Concepts)
Solid experience with object-oriented design and development using Java/C , familiarity with various Design patterns.
Prior experience architecting or developing cloud native applications on Linux or commercial RTOS.
Working experience with control and management of network elements using a variety of interfaces, such as NETCONF/YANG, TR069/TR196, Web APIs, message queues, files, and databases
Familiar with Comms interfaces - Ethernet / TCP/IP / UDP / SNMP / XML
Function/feature systemization including requirement handling and interface design
Familiarity of 3GPP RAN and ORAN specifications and functionality.
Experience with at least one scripting languages like SHELL, Python, etc.
Knowledge in IPv4, IPv6, any Routing and Networking protocols will be an advantage.
Knowledge in IPsec, SSL/TLS and any security protocols will be a bonus.
Bachelor's Degree or a related field with minimum 10 years of relevant experience or master's degree or a related field with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

Anticipated annual base salary range dependent on applicant's work location, experience and qualifications: $120,000 - $150,000
