Role Overview

CFI is looking for a Product Manager to join our growing team. This is our first Product Manager role, providing an opportunity for you to make a real impact on our products and the many hundreds of thousands of students who learn and grow their careers by using our platform.

The product manager is a key contributor who will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally on our product roadmap, determining priorities and scope, identifying new features, conducting market & user research, generating product requirements, acting as scrum master, and collaborating with all internal and external product stakeholders. We're seeking someone who shares our values of creativity, accountability, data-driven decision-making, inclusivity, and agility.

What To Expect:

  • End-to-end product management: conduct user research, write user stories, prioritize needs, and schedule projects.

  • Engage with leadership to build and maintain a product roadmap that supports the strategic business objectives.

  • Drive execution of the product roadmap; proactively identify and resolve strategic and tactical issues that impair the teams’ ability to meet goals.

  • Understand and advocate for the needs of our customer, engineering and customer success teams, and develop innovative solutions to meet those needs.

  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture.

  • Manage feature prioritization and trade-off decision making based on business priorities, resource availability, and timelines and communicate the priorities internally.

  • Create surveys and document customer input and feedback to gain insight into product needs.

  • Initiate and drive process improvements to increase quality and efficiency and define and track success metrics.

  • Schedule and assign operational requirements to follow up on work results.

Who You Are:

  • 3-5+ years experience in B2B SaaS product management with a track record of successfully managing a roadmap, leading cross-functional efforts from conception through launch, and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, including executives.

  • Hands-on, get-it-done attitude. We are a start-up and we are looking for someone who loves the fast-paced, high energy environment of a startup and is not afraid to roll-up their sleeves and get things done.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to uncover data insights, summarize findings, and propose recommendations.

  • Strong understanding of prioritization frameworks and the ability to estimate the opportunity size for each initiative.

  • Excellent communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level - within teams, within the company, to users, and other audiences.

  • Strong team-orientation with a proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results.

  • Some technical knowledge of software development in an agile setting.
