Essential Functions
• Plan, monitor and revise daily and weekly cultivation schedules and labour assignments
• Work closely with cultivation team members to lead, coach, and develop an effective work environment
• Develop and implement Cultivation grow plans and take appropriate action to adjust as needed
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve costs, quality, and production efficiencies
• Ensure employees optimize cultivation time by ensuring that they have the appropriate tools and equipment to maximize productivity
• Ensure cultivation complies with SOPs, GMP, and Health and Safety requirements
• Work to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and high product quality standards
• Participates in the recruitment, onboarding, and on the job training of the Cultivation employees
• Uses metrics/data to evaluate and improve cultivation procedures
• Facilitates corrective action to fix product-related issues
• Manages employee performance and issues of disciplinary action as needed.
• Maintains a safe work environment
• Responsible for overall plant health and crop yield
• Responsible to manage and build teams as the company continues to expand Responsible to prepare budgets and monitor financial performance to plan
• Work alongside our retail sales team to review trends and sales, discuss future genetics to continue to improve our horticulture operations
• Ensure operational KPI's are met and improved on a regular basis
• Work closely with the Asset Development Team to improve and expand existing production facilities, and assist in developing new properties.
• Engage as part of the Senior Leadership Team to develop the business goals and play an active leadership role for the company
Administration & Management
• Ensure personnel development and performance management planning for all direct and indirect reports, including ongoing proficiency training and smooth onboarding of new employees.
• Establish manpower requirements to meet schedules. Propose and lead corrective actions should issues arise.
• Research and work with subject matter experts to relentlessly improve quality and yield
• Communicate effectively with other department managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure timely resolution of problems and accomplishments of cultivation department and company objectives.
• Maintain and promote a positive work environment through collaborative discussions, team communications, rigorous root cause analysis and transparent decision making.
• Manage safe work conditions and practices within the cultivation area. Enforce company Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of cultivars and morphology.
• Familiarity with Seed to Sale software and/or electronic reporting systems that aids in cataloging and analyzing individual cultivars from clone through harvest. Knowledge of Leaf Logix a plus!
• Complete safety inspections on the production area as well as being involved in incident investigation and inspection programs.
Experience and Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership in Production/Manufacturing
• Experience in set-up and operation of greenhouse cultivation facilities required
• Analytical, planning, organizational skills
• Experience driving production targets and goals using best in class manufacturing principles
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and management
• Understanding of Health & Safety legislation; knowledge of METRC, BCC and CDFA regulations
• Strong people management and time management skills required
• Able to follow and uphold SOPs precisely and consistently, detail-oriented
Our Offer
· Base salary range: $70-85k / annual, paid bi-weekly

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
